A former Oklahoma City Thunder star wanted to get in the ring with Giannis Antetokounmpo and openly declared his challenge a while ago. Milwaukee Bucks player Giannis responded to it recently, with humor and a side serving of wit.

Enes Kanter Freedom is the person who called for this challenge. During a media interaction, one reporter asked Giannis if he would participate in Freedom’s challenge. Without batting an eyelid, he replied, “Nah, he doesn’t want that smoke“. He also signaled the reporter to ask him another question, seemingly shutting down any more questions regarding the topic.

Fans reacted to this “hilarious” response. Another netizen wrote that the fight would be like “Mayweather Vs Hasbulla”.

Hasbulla is a social media content creator. He is widely popular in the international Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). His dwarfism doesn’t constrict him in re-enacting fighting videos. His most viral videos are of UFC champion, Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Floyd Mayweather has been synonymous with UFC and has bagged many laurels in his name. The Bleacher Report stated that if a player can’t hit him, “you can’t beat him“.

Giannis Antetokounmpo’s long-drawn duel

Enes Freedom and Giannis Antetokounmpo have not had the best history. When Freedom was with the New York Knicks post his Thunder stint, the duo had a scuffle a few years back. During the fourth quarter of the game, Freedom pushed Bucks star Giannis to the floor. Giannis did not back down. They had a heated argument.

Freedom got ejected after receiving 2 technical fouls.? He spoke to New York Post and said the “golden boy” Giannis was “childish”.

Giannis said he doesn’t want to be a wrestler when asked about potentially joining the AEW or the WWE. He’s nevertheless not declining that future altogether.

As for Freedom, he recently was awarded The Lantos Human Rights prize for being an outspoken advocate for human rights. He is no longer in the league due to his stance.
