John Salley holds the distinction of being the first NBA player to win the NBA title with three different teams. Notably, he was a member of the renowned Chicago Bulls team that clinched the championship in 1996. In recent discussions, Salley raised certain concerns about Michael Jordan, which have raised some cause for worry.
During an appearance on the “djvlad” podcast, John Salley expressed his belief that Michael Jordan is likely to sell the team, stating, “I think Jordan’s gonna sell the team. I think it doesn’t help him anymore. I think getting new blood, new ideas in there. I think he’s 62 years old 61 years old. There’s no reason to keep stressing and having to go to North Carolina when you live in Jupiter, Florida.”
Salley emphasized that as Jordan approaches the later stages of his life, it may not be wise for him to continue the burden of frequently traveling between Florida and North Carolina. Salley also suggested that selling the team, even though the Charlotte Hornets have not won an NBA championship, would be a wise decision.
