Former volleyball player and podcaster Sydel Curry Lee and her husband/NBA star Damion Lee are eagerly preparing for the arrival of their second child. The Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry‘s baby sister is currently enjoying her pregnancy before the family of three turns to that of four in August 2023. Amid the blissful knowledge and anticipation of the impending arrival, Sydel recently shared a video of her emotionally draining and painful journey that led her to where she was right now.

Stephen Curry has two siblings, and he is the eldest of all. The 4x NBA champion’s younger brother Seth currently plays for the Brooklyn Nets, while their sister Sydel is a content creator and a mental health advocate.

The Curry-Lee family is expanding, and their loved ones can’t be happier for them. However, just three years ago, it all probably seemed like a dream to Sydel that could never come true. Sydel married Damion Lee in 2018 and soon after the couple decided to try for a baby. However, after trying for months, the couple had to face the reality of having infertility issues.

Following that, Sydel began her IVF treatments in November 2020, as per reports by Essence. After failing to get the desired result following the first, Sydel went on progesterone for the second. Soon enough, the couple were blessed with their first child in 2021.

On the occasion of National Infertility Week, Sydel reflected on her life-changing journey and the rollercoaster of emotions that she had felt at the time. She shared a video of herself breaking down in front of the camera as she relayed the news of her infertility along with snippets of her IVF journey.

In her caption, she wrote, “The days of wondering if we will ever have the family we yearn for.” She added, “Infertility is one of the toughest things to go through but each and every battle to the goal is worth it! I remember those trenches. I remember those tears and fears. I still face them to this day.”

The Curry Family has one more good news to share

Turns out, the Curry family is not just preparing for one but two new additions to their family. Weeks after Sydel announced her pregnancy, her sister-in-law and Seth Curry’s wife Callie Rivers Curry dropped major news of her own pregnancy on her Instagram handle. Seth and Callie are already parents to two adorable kids.

Soon after the post was uploaded, Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade’s wife Gabrielle Union, Callie’s mother-in-law Sonya Curry, Sydel, and several others congratulated the couple on their pregnancy.
