In the episode ‘The Big Diesel’, O’Neal and Turner discussed the concept of long-distance relationships and why they end. This fan’s query brought up a discussion on why men may ghost women. The fan Layla asked Shaq and Nischelle why after a trip together with a man, she got ghosted by him.

Shaquille O’Neal has a lot of experience with relationships and understands the plight of the lady. He made sure she knew her worth and asked her to move forward. He gave his three reasons as to why men may ghost a woman instead of being upfront. His first reason was that the man simply did not want to. Reason number two was that the man did not want to lose out on the woman. The third reason is if a man has something else keeping him occupied. In this case, he said that he may come back to her later, but he was not waiting for her.

Shaquille O’Neal speculated that the man may have ghosted her because he may have been pissed off. He admitted that the ghosting was a sort of crime, and he put his detective hat on to break down the relationship. Shaq assumed that Layla could have said something that made him ghost her. He may have realized after the trip that it would not work. Shaq also said it is possible that he simply lost his phone.

O’Neal said that men and women are different creatures, and indifference plays an important part in the journey. He admitted that relation and love are all about persuasion.
