Lakers’ LeBron James is making headlines these days with his new film Space Jam: A New Legacy released on July 14. The sequel is surrounded by immense hype after Michael Jordan’s 1996 Space Jam set the stage.
The movie, directed by Malcolm D. Lee, is a fancy affair with LeBron James and the Looney Tunes starring in its lead. Several NBA players are making an appearance in the film including Damian Lillard, Anthony Davis, and others.
LeBron James has a TV-show fantasy world in place

LeBron James was recently witnessed at the official release of the film. The King is ruling on and off the court and his fans are more than excited. In a conversation on the ‘Smarless’ podcast, LeBron went on to narrate how he drew inspiration from the world of entertainment.
“When I was a kid, not only was the inspiration coming from my sports figures, it was also coming from TV shows that I was watching. I always felt like, I wish I was the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air like I wish I was the Fresh Prince of Akron Ohio… I wish at times just being in certain movies, like action movies … The passion of watching that and seeing that,” the 2020 champion further added. “Being a kid, just trying to find any inspiration. That’s where it kinda came from. And I’ve always respected that.”
Space Jam 2 is the right thing for LeBron after the 2021 postseason
Well, the Akron boy has become a film star today. And his childhood dream is becoming a reality.

LeBron James went through a rough season this year with injuries and fluctuating performances. His postseason run ended earlier than expected in the first round against the Phoenix Suns. However, the Lakers will be pushing to make a comeback next summer. For now, LeBron is busy with his film promotions and the spotlight is on him to continue Michael Jordan’s legacy with Space Jam 2.
