Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors are off to a very poor start to their title defense. Being the reigning NBA champions and starting off with a 6-9 record is bound to draw some criticism from fans and analysts. And the Warriors just seem to be having a hard time stringing a couple of wins together. The closest they came to a run was a five-game losing streak early in the season.?

Things need to change quickly, otherwise, we’ll be seeing the Warriors getting trolled on social media. After major injury setbacks, two of their players were back in the lineup, Klay Thompson and James Wiseman. However, both have majorly underperformed this season.

Wiseman has been sent to the Warriors G-League affiliate, the Santa Cruz Warriors. The second-overall pick still has a lot to prove. And as for Thompson, he has had his lowest point average since his second season in the NBA. He has been riddled with injuries for the past couple of seasons. In fact, he missed a total of 941 days of basketball due to injury.?

It looks like it may take Klay Thompson a little more than a while to get back in the groove. Thompson opened up to Ramona Shelburne of ESPN about his injuries. He said, “The best I’ve ever felt was in 2019. I know I can’t get back there but even if I get to 90 percent of that – still hell of a player.”

Fans immediately ended up calling out Thompson on his statement. One fan tweeted, “Winning > whining.” It was a harsh take by the fans who know what Thompson is capable of.?

Klay Thompson has one of the best shooting touches in the league.?When he is healthy, he is an absolute threat from beyond the arc. The other half of the splash brothers duo, Klay can light up teams on any given night.?

It is all about staying healthy and injury-free for the five-time All-Star. Currently, Thompson is averaging 15.1 PPG, 3.5 RPG, and 2.4 APG with a shooting percentage of 47.1%. The four-time champion is gradually improving as the season grows.?

He averaged 12.3 PPG for the month of October which has jumped to 17.8 PPG for the month of November so far. Let’s hope Thompson continues to get better as the season progresses because the Golden State Warriors would need his offense on a consistent basis.?
