Interestingly enough, he also backed his claims when he faced the backlash. Wilt talked about this issue in his book, ‘A View From Above’ and talked about how he is not bragging, rather, he is just laying it out for people.
Wilt said, “I’m not boasting… I don’t see all this lovemaking as any kind of conquest. All I’m saying is that I like women, people are curious about my s*x life, and to most people, the number of women who have come and gone through my bedrooms – and various hotel rooms around the country – would boggle the mind.”
Despite him clarifying the situation, fans and analysts around the world still refuse to believe his claims. After all, 20,000 is quite an unbelievable number!
How good was Wilt Chamberlain during his time in the NBA?
Keeping all the off-court controversies aside, Wilt Chamberlain is still one of the greatest players in the NBA. During his time in the NBA, he dominated the league like no other and collected countless accolades.
Some of his accomplishments include being a 13-time All-Star, 7-time scoring Champion, and 4-time MVP, and he also has 2 NBA titles to his name.
Interestingly enough, Wilt has one of the most famous NBA records to his name which might never be broken. He holds the record for scoring the most number of points during a game. When the Philadelphia Warriors took on the Knicks in 1962, Wilt Chamberlain scored a crazy 100 points during the game!

He retired with an average of 30.1 points, 22.9 rebounds, and 4.4 assists spanning an incredible 16 seasons in the league. Chamberlain played for the Philadelphia 76ers, the San Francisco Warriors, and also the Los Angeles Lakers.
