After a rather hard fought victory against the Hawks, the Knicks played their third game in Atlanta. While a road win is necessary for the Knicks, their most recent game didn’t go according to plan.

While veteran guard Derrick Rose continued his fantastic run of form scoring 30 points, the likes of Julius Randle and RJ Barrett have fizzled out in the postseason. Both Barrett and Randle combined for a disappointing total of 21 points. Apart from D-Rose, the Knicks can’t find a constant second scoring option and if this continues, the Knicks might be in huge trouble.

The Hawks, meanwhile, had a fantastic performance in their last game. Coming into the game with the series tied at 1-1, the Hawks had the home advantage for the next two games.

While game two was a one man show, their latest game saw multiple players step up and contribute offensively. With seven players scoring in double digits, the Hawks cruised to a 105-94 victory. The Hawks will look to continue their incredible form in the fourth game of the series and take a 3-1 lead.

Predictions

Despite being the higher seed in this match-up, the Knicks haven’t been in their best of forms in this series against the Hawks. With a misfiring offense, the Knicks need their breakout star in Julius Randle to step up to the occasion. The Hawks have shown that they are a cohesive unit on the floor and were fabulous in their home game. Considering that they have the home court advantage and a better all-round offensive system at place, the Hawks are clear favorites in this match-up.
