The San Antonio Spurs face off against the Eastern Conference surprise package, the New York Knicks, tonight at 7:30 PM EST.
After an amazing victory against the Clippers, the Knicks were the clear favorites going up against a Lakers’ side who were missing multiple starters from their roster. After 53 minutes of a slugfest between both the teams, the Lakers emerged victorious, beating the Knicks 101-99. This loss had major implications for the Knickerbockers as they dropped to the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference. Although the Knicks have qualified for the playoffs, they will be determined to win their remaining games and hope to improve their seeding in the East.
The Spurs, meanwhile, also suffered a loss in their most recent game as they were easily dismantled by the Brooklyn Nets 128-116. While the Pelicans are out of contention from the play in tournament, the Sacramento Kings are breathing down their necks. The Spurs have to win at least one or two of their remaining games to solidify their position in the play in tournament.

Predictions
The Knicks might have suffered from a loss in their latest game, but showed how troubling they can be to top teams, especially in the defensive end. Given the form they have shown in their recent West coast trip and the fact that the Spurs have been massively inconsistent, the Knicks surely have an edge against the Spurs in this match-up.
New York Knicks: Injury updates and lineup prediction
The Knicks might miss some players due to injuries. Center Mitchell Robinson is sidelined with a foot injury, and might not make his return this season. Rookie Immanuel Quickley and Alec Burks are questionable against the Spurs.
