It was the fairytale ending for soccer superstar Lionel Messi and all the Argentina fans on Sunday, as they beat France in the FIFA World Cup final. The celebrations that followed were of people around the world enjoying and celebrating the victory in memory of Messi’s journey, which led him to this point. Amongst the global celebrations, the late great Kobe Bryant‘s wife Vaness Bryant also joined the party on Instagram.
We all know the bond that Bryant shared with Messi. In the sports community, they were known for their friendship and immense respect for one another. To honor all of these memories, Vanessa posted a few videos on her Instagram story, reliving all of Bryant and Messi’s time together. As for the videos, they were quite interesting to watch and for fans to be able to walk down memory lane.

After Argentina’s triumph over France in the FIFA World Cup final, Vanessa Bryant shared some memories of Bryant with Messi. In her first story, she showed a video of Bryant talking about Messi’s future potential when he had just entered the global stage as a 17-year-old wonder kid.
His victory led many fans to believe that he has finally won the GOAT debate. But even before this, soccer legend, Ronaldinho told his friend Bryant a secret. Bryant can be seen talking about meeting Messi and a prediction that his friend made about Messi’s future.
“Ronaldinho, who was a good friend, I was talking with him and he told me, ‘Kobe, look I’m going to introduce you to the guy who is going to be the greatest player of all time,” Kobe said.

The next slide contained a video of the Los Angeles Lakers legend showing off some of his soccer skills. Additionally, he demonstrated his love for Argentina in the video. The final story shared a post of an advertisement from 2013, which was made by Turkish Airlines and featured both sporting giants together.

The commercial video shows both of them trading “selfies” from exotic locations, demonstrating the airline’s worldwide network while engaging in a friendly rivalry.
