The most common thing in the NBA community is the GOAT list and conversations about it. Over the years, as the game has evolved, the areas that the discussion covers have widened. Despite that, the interest of fans in those discussions has remained the same. LeBron James is a usual suspect in the GOAT conversation. With an immensely successful NBA career, LeBron is surely on the Mount Rushmore of basketball. However, is he the best in every aspect of the game?
Recently, a “Top 100” list of “The Greatest NBA Point Guards of All Time” was released. Only the title is enough to generate the interest of hoop fans, but the list ended up catching flak for their assessment. Including LeBron on the list of the greatest PGs of all time did not sit well with fans, and they responded with their brutal honesty.

There is no questioning the fact that LeBron is one of the, if not the, greatest basketball players of all time. Going into his 21st season in the NBA, King James has achieved everything there is to achieve on the court. He has represented three teams in the league, playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers twice.
Till now in his career, LeBron has won 4 NBA titles, 4 Finals MVP, 4 MVP awards, and has made 19 All-Star appearances. This is barely scratching the surface with all the other achievements he has stacked over the years. However, the question remains, is he an all-time great as a PG?
The list released by SLAM included the likes of Stephen Curry, Magic Johnson, Steve Nash, Chris Paul, and Isiah Thomas. LeBron’s inclusion was intentional by the organization as they had an asterisk in his name. The footnote on LeBron’s name read “Let’s talk about it,” and the fans did that and much more in replies.
Fumed by LeBron being on the list, fans responded with some harsh criticism of the list and King James as a point guard. What looked like a setup from the beginning ended up achieving its purpose.
Playmakers, floor generals and offensive initiators.

Although some fans tried making a point that LeBron has won a ring while playing as a PG, it didn’t help the case against him.
