NBA superstar Anthony Davis and the Los Angeles Lakers had a season to forget last year. The star-studded lineup of the Lakers failed to make the playoffs much to the dismay of fans around the world. At 37, LeBron James tried to will his team to a playoff spot while averaging 30 points per game. But it wasn’t enough.

Russell Westbrook struggled throughout the season and couldn’t get it going. And he has received a lot of backlash from fans and pundits for the Lakers’ poor season. On the other hand, Davis missed a lot of games due to his injury issues and the fans are tired of his injury layoffs.

But the fans have been asking how the front office is going to make the roster better. Would the Miami Heat swap Jimmy Butler for Anthony Davis?

Jimmy Butler and the Heat had a good season last year even though they wouldn’t have been happy with their Conference Finals loss. The Heat lost to the Boston Celtics 4-3 in an exciting series. Both teams were defensively good and went toe to toe throughout the series. In the series, Butler gave his everything and even played all 48 minutes of the game-7 going for the win. But it wasn’t meant to be.

NBA pundit Bill Simmons said, “And if the Lakers called Miami up and said, ‘We?ll give you Anthony Davis for Jimmy Butler,’ Miami is either doing it or they?re having a seven-hour meeting before they decide not to do it,” Simmons said.

“But I just think they would do it. If they can turn?Jimmy Butler?into?Anthony Davis, I think they do it.”

But the Heat fans might disagree. Also, if the deal were to happen, the Heat will end up with two big men in Davis and Bam Adebayo. And they would be without a star guard or forward. The Lakers, on the other hand, will be weak in the big man department without the presence of Davis.
