Haynes replied that while he has yet to hear from Irving or his team, he felt Irving would opt to play the season with the Nets before leaving in free agency.

“What I will say is that, he has informed the Nets that he will leave in free agency if he is not traded.?So with that being said, I would tend to think that he will still cooperate and finish out his contract,” Haynes said.
