As the Lakers continue to struggle this season, with only 30 wins so far. The organization might part ways with head coach Frank Vogel next season. Vogel spent most of his coaching career in Indiana, from 2007 to 2016. He was an assistant coach for the first four years, and then in 2011 Vogel was appointed as head coach for the Pacers.
Frank also spent 2 seasons with the Orlando Magic as head coach, from 2016 to 2017
Before joining the Lakers, Vogel had a record of 304-291. So far Frank has led the Lakers to 215 wins and 125 losses. Though, this season has been a nightmare for the Lakers organization. Fans and the whole NBA community did not expect such performance from a team with a packed star caliber.

Lakers now sit on the 9th seed in the West. Some of the players are blamed for poor performance, though now, fans are starting to question coach Vogel’s future with the Lakers.
Who is to replace Frank Vogel to coach LeBron James?
NBA insider Marc Stein states that the Lakers might target Quin Snyder next season, replacing Frank Vogel. Quin Snyder has been doing a great job this season with the Utah Jazz with a current record of 45-27.

Last season, Snyder led the Jazz to a 1st seed in the West as well as in league standings. Even so, the Jazz couldn’t get past the Clippers in the Western Conference Semi-Finals.
Snyder might be a good fit for the Lakers next season. A good coach can help build better team chemistry and communication in games, which the Lakers lack. Injury-prone players like Anthony Davis might also get some help, with a coach who can have control over their game in terms of pace, minutes, and load.

He'd be crazy to take on that terrible roster. Maybe in 2 years when LBJ and RW are gone. Trade AD for anything you can get.

No coach would do well with the roster they gave Vogel. Now they wanna part ways after a roster that he knew wouldn’t work wont work.

Why would anybody want to coach LeBron, at this point you’re just a puppet working for him until he decides to retire. But unlike Tom Brady who’s in a similar situation in Tampa, LeBron doesn’t win all the time in his late 30s like Brady did.
