Stephen Curry might have been the center of attention today during the ESPYS but Klay Thompson may have stolen it from him for a few short moments on social media. On the red carpet, the shooting guard wore a nice suit but Twitter’s attention was fixated on something else. They instead focused on the sunglasses he wore. Interestingly, it reminded fans of the glasses worn by their aunts.
Social media speculated that Klay also took these from his aunt.

It did not seem to help that his teammate and friend, Curry looked like a million bucks on camera. The point guard had everyone in splits with his jokes. “The Petty God” even got laughs from Boston Celtics players like Grant Williams who got directly targeted by Curry.
It was not all bad for Klay, though. He won the Comeback Athlete of the Year award. He arguably deserved it for all he had been through for the past three years. Every NBA fan knows that his road to coming back was filled with sticks and stones.

Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson had a monumental NBA season
Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry climbed up a pretty improbable mountain this year. Nobody thought the Golden State Warriors would make a comeback. Journalists had already written off?the team before the season had even begun. Both Curry and Klay were riddled with injuries. It seemed like it was the end of the line for Golden State.

But 2021-22 brought a few surprises. Curry broke the three-point record but things did not look rosy until the last half of the season. They qualified for the playoffs as the third-seeded team from the Western Conference. After that, the Warriors got their old championship-winning swagger back.
Stephen Curry brought his best to win it once more. Klay Thompson also wore his shooting boots even though he was not at his peak. Their 4th NBA title was a great feat by the 2009-2012 core. Curry won?the Finals MVP award and rounded off his achievements in an imperious fashion.
