The Golden State Warriors’ stance on youngster James Wiseman continues to remain a mystery. There were prior rumors about the defending champions finding a trade for the former number two pick. Wiseman had the hype to be the next franchise cornerstone. However, it has diminished since his recurring injuries. After recalling the 21-year-old for their clash against Utah, the stars seemed to be shining in him. However, that lasted just one have. The Bay assigned him back to the G-League. But as a hungry star desperate for time on the floor, former champion Kendrick Perkins wants him out of the Bay.

This won’t be the first time the University of Memphis alumni will take a trip to the G-League. Notably, James Wiseman returned to the Warriors for one just game against the Utah Jazz. The primary motive behind the decision of his recall was the absence of three starters. The 21-year-old played just five minutes in the clash. However, head coach Steve Kerr emphasized the importance of any game time for the young center.

With Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, and Andrew Wiggins all back in action, the reigning champs are sending Wiseman back to Santa Cruz along with two other players.

Golden State Warriors send Wiseman back to G-League

After a shocking loss to the Utah Jazz on Thursday, the Warriors announced James Wiseman, Patrick Baldwin Jr., and Ryan Rollins’ return back to the G-League. After getting a little time in the clash against the Western Conference underdogs, the trio is heading back to hon their skills. However, Perkins was upset with one particular decision, regarding Wiseman. Once a bright prospect for the franchises’ future, Wiseman’s injury struggles have hindered his journey. While the G-League is attached to development, Perk believes the Bay needs to pull the wire on Wiseman.

The former NBA champion tweets, “Why don?t they just Trade him?! Let him go somewhere and go minutes so that he can play through his mistakes. It?s obvious that Kerr don?t fool with him that.”

The Golden State Warriors have a reliable track record for player development in Santa Cruz. Notably, Jordan Poole is a product of the system. Now, he is a key factor in the Bay’s offense. The 23-year-old was also one of the first guys to encourage the prodigy. In 7 games, the 21-year-old center has averaged 15.6 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 1.14 blocks so far. Getting significant time on the court, the Warriors’ front office is showing trust in James Wiseman. However, if the pressure rises for the champions, they might entertain Perkins’ suggestion.
