NBA Twitter has given their reactions to the brutal injury suffered by Curry with many speculating the Warriors season to be over.
Stephen Curry goes out with an injury
Just as the Golden State Warriors were finally looking like a team to win the NBA title, they have faced a major setback. Their star player Stephen Curry has suffered a left foot injury which has sidelined him indefinitely.
During their matchup against the Boston Celtics, Curry left the court during the second quarter after he faced a bad foul. Coach Steve Kerr showed his displeasure at the bad challenge by Marcus Smart. He said, “I thought it was a dangerous play. I thought Marcus dove into Steph’s knee.”
This comes as an enormous setback for the team. Curry has been phenomenal for the Warriors, putting up MVP level numbers for them. He averages 25.5 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 6.3 assists.
Moreover, this comes just 48hrs after the Big Three of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green played together after around 1,005 days.
This injury came during the match against the Celtics, which the Warriors lost 110-88 thanks to a spirited performance from Jayson Tatum. Tatum scored 26 points and 12 rebounds assisted by Jalen Brown, who scored 26 points with 14 of it coming in the first half itself. Marcus Smart, the man who injured Stephen Curry, scored 20 points to wind up his controversial night.

Warriors about to fall to that 5th seed.

Warriors are done. Celtics exposed them. I can't believe their defense is ranked #2 in the NBA. Outside of Green, they are basically a jump shooting team.

So a sprained ankle… man, we like to make things a bigger deal than they are. I am not Marcus Smart fan, but that was just a hustle play. He was the only one on the floor.
