Embiid also clocked in 50+ points, a repeat of his season-best against the Utah Jazz. However, it was not just him in the spotlight tonight. His son, Arthur, charmed the NBA world.

Embiid was seen scooping up Arthur, who was extremely comfortable in his father’s arms. The 76ers star signed a ball as his son watched on.

Joel Embiid and his partner Anne De Paula announced the birth of their first child, Arthur Elijah De Paula Embiid two years ago. Embiid said that his son’s arrival had given his life “a new meaning”.
Last year, Embiid spoke about how he wanted to be “the best in the game”, for his son. He said that he wished?Arthur to witness his many laurels. “I want my son to grow up and see his father at the top of his game“, he said. He also recently said once that fatherhood was his top priority. “It’s the best thing to ever happen to me”. Embiid also sweetly pointed out that the first thing he does when he wakes up is, play with his son.
It was reported that Joel Embiid tipped his hat to his late brother, Arthur, by naming his son by the same name.

The Sixers’ center finished the game against the Charlotte Hornets with 53 points and 11 rebounds. He was just 7 points shy from his season best of 59 points against the Utah Jazz.

Joel Embiid became the third player to join the ranks of Allen Iverson and Wilt Chamberlain to record 50+ point games in the same season.
Thanks to his shooting sprees, he also recorded history as the only other Philadelphia 76ers player apart from Wilt Chamberlain to win 30 games, wherein he scored 40 points and 10 rebounds.
