The Los Angeles Lakers lost their 10th game against the Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday night’s game. Following an average performance by Russell Westbrook, the 2017 NBA Finals MVP had a rather peculiar exchange with a reporter during the post-game media interview. The reporter’s question directed towards Russ had the NBA fans baffled while trying to figure out the purpose behind it.
The Los Angeles Lakers are in one of their worst seasons despite having one of the best players in the league. In contrast to their No. 13 seed in the Western Conference rankings, NBA superstar LeBron James has put up a splendid performance in the game against their city rivals by making a career-high nine three-pointers.

Following two-straight wins, the Los Angeles Lakers came to a halt when they faced the Los Angeles Clippers. LeBron James put up a 46-point performance against the Clippers which proved to be fruitless when they lost by 115-133. Teammate Russell Westbrook made 17 points, one rebound, and five assists coming off the bench which failed to make much of an impact. During a post-game media interview, a reporter asked a particular question to Russ that evinced a rather hilarious expression from the Lakers point guard.

“Tonight you used your impressive dribbling skills to successfully fake out your opponents multiple times. And in the second quarter, you made a jump shot where your body was turning like 180 degrees away from the basket, it was just an amazing shot. You’re always making these spectacular moves withing a split second. Do you anticipate doing them or is it just a second nature to you? Like do you just not even have to think about it?” the reporter asked Russ.
A seemingly amused Westbrook simply replied, “You know, the way you explained it, you need to be around more often.”
Speculations began among the Twitterati as they tried figuring out if the reporter was being sarcastic. Below are a few of the tweets.
