It seems like the Los Angeles Lakers are finally getting their mojo back, after winning two of their most recent games against the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Houston Rockets. Fans are relieved that they are seeing a sneak peek into a team they’ve been dreaming that the Lakers would be.

But believe it or not, the Lakers’ 95-85 win against the Rockets should have been the headline, but it wasn’t. Instead, a man known as Patrick Christopher broke the internet instead and it has something to do with LeBron James.

Patrick Christopher is a former NBA player, who had a very brief stint with the Utah Jazz. Patrick had some impressive statistics throughout high school, where he came third in career rankings as part of the University of California, Berkley. As a senior in the college team called Golden Bears, he averaged 15.6 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 2 assists.

Other than that, he was also a two-time first-team all-conference selection in the Pac-10, now known as Pac-12. However, he went undrafted in 2010, which led to him playing in the Summer League for the Detroit Pistons, and eventually joining the Antalya BB of Turkey.

After that, he played with several other international teams, until the Utah Jazz signed him in 2014. Unfortunately, a knee injury had him out of the league, and he only got to play four games, in which he was a starter in one. He averaged a mere 1.5 points and 1.5 rebounds in that duration. Owing to injuries, his professional basketball career came to a short and sweet end in 2016.

Turns out, Patrick’s younger brother Josh Christopher is a forward for the Houston Rockets. He was obviously there to support him, but that’s not it. Patrick is also the godbrother to former NBA champion, Tayshaun Prince.

Patrick might have not received the fame he had hoped in the league during his playing days. However, being Bron’s carbon copy has done the job for him. In fact, Bron and he go way back. The two of them have known one another for more than a decade.
