Giannis Antetokounmpo dominated the headlines as he won the NBA championship with the Milwaukee Bucks. Now, all the Antetokounmpo brothers are champions in the NBA – Giannis and Thanasis with Milwaukee and Kostas with the Lakers.

Currently, these brothers share the record for the most number of siblings that play in the NBA with the Holiday family. However, another star is brewing in the Antetokounmpo household. 19 YO Alex Antetokounmpo is a 2021 NBA draft prospect and has been part of several workouts.

Alex works out with the Indiana Pacers

The Indiana Pacers will host a pre-draft workout for Alex. The 19 YO could be a 2nd round pick as per the projections.

Alex is still a raw prospect who is yet to develop into his game. However, his size could catch up with his older brother, Giannis Antetokounmpo. Right now, Alex is 6’7 with a 7’1 wingspan, compared to Giannis, who is 6’11 with a 7’4 wingspan.

Alex is still to grow his body as he is not as strong as his elder brother. But he surely has the potential to be a good player. Even Giannis’ journey in the NBA was slow. He was fighting for minutes in his rookie year and is now a 2 time MVP. He is by far the best find in the Antetokounmpo family.

However, the ‘Greek Freak’ thinks his younger brother can be better than him. He said, “I definitely think Alex can be better than me.”

Can Alex be better than Giannis Antetokounmpo?

We all know that Giannis is a family man. And with the NBA draft coming up, he could be trying to hype up his younger brother. However, does Alex have what it takes to be better than Giannis Antetokounmpo?

This is a tough question to ask as their play styles differ. Alex is a reliable shooter of the ball, unlike his brother. Moreover, he can also play on the inside finishing through contact. In his sophomore year, Alex was a two-time all-state selection averaging 20 points and 7 rebounds. He decided to play in Europe and did not attend any college. However, he was considered a three-star recruit.
