The 8-time All-Star, 1x NBA Champion, and arguably the best ball handler in the league, Kyrie Irving, is a star, not only on the court. When it comes to voicing out, Irving is the first to come up. With fans pouring out their views on WNBA players’ right to get charter flights, Irving has made his statement to the media. Kyrie is under the spotlight for his supportive word towards the WNBA players and for earning his starters badge in the All-Star game.?
Although a few fans seem to appreciate the Brooklyn Nets guard for his words, many seem to blame the league and the team owners for not funding the league for the necessities. Irving’s take has started a controversy on Twitter.

Breanna Stewart from the Seattle Storm was the first to voice out on the need for female players to receive a charter flight. The WNBA star mentioned on her Twitter,?“I would love to be part of a deal that helps subsidize charter travel for the entire WNBA.“. She added,?“I would contribute my NIL, posts + production hrs to ensure we all travel in a way that prioritizes player health + safety, which ultimately results in a better product.”?
Numerous other players, joined Breanna Stewart to make a mini-movement. One such latest addition to the movement is Irving. Irving addressed the media, “We gotta get something done, and I?m with them no matter how much it costs per se. I think we could all collectively come together and make something very doable happen.”. Though Irving is receiving a lot of love for voicing out, the WNBA league is not.
