Dennis Rodman on his Impact on the NBA
Dennis Rodman was a man who couldn?t care less about what people thought about him. He was way ahead of his time, making it difficult for people higher up and the media to understand him. His life wasn?t an easy one, and with the added criticisms that he faced from media houses, it?d been a difficult ride.
But Rodman sailed through all of it, probably shining a light for the youngsters to carefully follow through. Living a life of a celebrity isn?t easy as they do not cease to become human. In 2019, Rodman was asked about what he thought about the NBA?s mental health programs and players openly speaking about sensitive issues. Many of these were possible due to Rodman?s initiative of having the courage to speak up.?
?When you got so much money, when you?re in the public eye, and you?re on TV all the time, you got a family, you got this and that, people think you don?t have any issues in your life. People don?t know that, but it?s always good to make people aware of what you got going on, what?s going on with you, and stuff like that?? the Chicago Bulls legend said. Through this, he signified his experience in the public eye and what it can do to players if not kept in check. He also mentioned that it was a happy state of affairs if such initiatives are taken.
