The Memphis Grizzlies handed a crushing defeat to the Golden State Warriors this Saturday. The Warriors are now on a 3-game losing streak and placed 7th in the Western Conference. A game filled with drama ended at 133-119 and saw a trash-talking spree from both sides. The rivalry between the two teams has only aggravated since last year’s playoffs. After Memphis’ victory on Saturday, a Dubs icon slammed a Grizzlies star, responding to the latter’s post-game comments.

Among the many comments and claims that were made during the game, the ones coming from Dillon Brooks rubbed the Warriors the wrong way.?Draymond Green and Brooks are already known to have beef between them. Now, Draymond’s teammate has joined the scuffle as the players took the trash-talking outside the court, while talking to the reporters.

Warriors star slams Dillon Brooks after tough loss

While the game was slipping away from the Warriors, Brooks was seen instigating the shooting guard for the Warriors, Klay Thompson. Brooks kept yelling “You s*ck” to Thompson which led to him showing four fingers toward the Grizzlies’ bench.

Thompson was referring to the four championships he has won as compared to no championships on Brooks’ resume. The 5x NBA All-Star took things further while talking to the reporters post-game. Thompson claimed that he doesn’t care about Brooks and that he will be forgotten with time.

Thompson told The Commercial Appeal, “I don’t care about Dillon Brooks. When he retires, I don’t think anyone will ever talk about Dillon Brooks ever again. I promise you. It’s sweet right now, but wait 10 years.”

Meanwhile, Brooks took it in a competitive spirit, saying that these words are like motivation for him and his team. He said, “He’s got four rings. That’s all he was saying. It’s motivation to us. We want a ring as well.”

“It’s friendly trash talk, but I just hold a lot of real estate over there in San Francisco,” the Grizzlies star added.

Although, this isn’t be the first time that Ja Morant’s teammate is on the other side of a Warriors player. He and Draymond Green have also been beefing for some time now.

Brooks’ beef with Draymond Green

When the two teams went against each other last week, the Grizzlies won the game 131-110. Brooks was asked to give a message to Green after the game and he said, “Keep doing his podcast. … It’s cute, it’s fun for him.” The Grizzlies small forward also said, “You should give the mic to Draymond. Make him keep talking about me so I can play better.” All these comments on Green’s podcast didn’t age well for Brooks as Green won the iHeartRadio’s best sports podcast award.

Green responded with “I guess I am pretty good with the Mic. Compliment well taken“. The Warriors power forward won the award for his acclaimed “The Draymond Green Show” podcast.
