Five-time NBA champion Dennis Rodman has a knack for being different from everybody. Be it his style off the court or his play on the court, there was simply no one like him. In 2013, he did the unthinkable yet again.

Rodman visited North Korea for a ‘basketball democracy tour’. Kim Jong-un apparently is a huge basketball fan and his own brother happened to sport The Worm’s jersey regularly.

During this period of time, he spent a lot of time with Jong-un and described him as a person who smiles all the time. Moreover, the former DPOY described him as his “friend for life”. Additionally, he also revealed Jong-un’s true intentions with the then-POTUS, Barack Obama. Jong-un just wanted to talk basketball!

“His whole deal is to talk basketball with Obama. Unfortunately, Obama doesn’t want to have anything to do with him. I ask, Mr. President, what’s the harm in a simple phone call? This is a new age, man. Come on, Obama, reach out to Kim and be his friend,” said Rodman appealing to the former POTUS.
