Since leaving the Los Angeles Clippers, the career of Blake Griffin has been going downhill. He isn’t a contender, and due to injuries, his game has regressed a lot as well. But Griffin is finally ready to play for a contender once again.

Over the last couple of weeks, a potential buyout rumor between the Detroit Pistons and Blake Griffin was going around the rumor mill. Well, it turns out that was not just a rumor after all. Griffin and the Pistons agreed to a buyout yesterday, making Blake a free agent.

With the buyout taking place, it means that a contending team from either conference can come in and recruit him to their team. Additionally, he just got a huge sum of money, thanks to the buyout. Thus, Blake Griffin will most likely sign a veteran’s contract this season, at the very least.
