In one of the shocks of the 2021-22 NBA season so far, Kevin Durant and the Brooklyn Nets have been swept by the Boston Celtics. It was a titanic Round-1 tussle, but nobody anticipated this kind of dominance. In the aftermath of the loss, Durant and his teammates Kyrie Irving and Ben Simmons have been subjected to tons of criticism. Finally reaching his boiling point, things took an unexpected turn for KD.
The season gone by was extremely challenging for Kevin Durant. Initially, it was the absence of 30-year-old star guard Kyrie Irving. Following this, the shock exit of James Harden provided another setback for the 12-time All-Star.

Last but not the least, new recruit Ben Simmons hasn’t featured in a single game as yet. As a result, KD has been left stranded in some form or the other for a vast majority of the campaign. In the midst of everything, he did put in some inspiring performances; however, it wasn’t enough.

There is no doubt that even though he wasn’t in the best of touch, some of the criticism coming Durant’s way is too harsh.
After he defended himself, popular reporter Rob Perez claimed, “It’s ok to defend yourself, but the mistake KD made was doing this in the morning and giving Inside time to prepare. they have an army of producers experienced in the art of pettiness. they’re going to be in photoshop all day. those stage directors probably setting up for a band.”

Responding to this, the 33-year-old ex-Warriors star replied, “An army of producers against the god. Just Another Tuesday.”
Naturally, KD’s comments weren’t met with the best of reactions. Many fans hit back at the 2-time NBA champion, while some defended him. However, one fan in particular decided to destroy Kevin, and claimed, “Surely a god wouldn’t get swept in the first round of the playoffs.”
