As it turns out, Jimmy Butler has decided to rock some dreadlocks before the upcoming season and it has taken everybody by surprise, including his Heat teammate Kyle Lowry.

Kyle Lowry revealed his thoughts on Jimmy Butler’s new hairstyle during his appearance on The VC Show. In fact, the former Toronto Raptors star seemed as surprised by the whole thing as the average NBA fan.

As it turns out, Vince Carter had no idea that Jimmy had changed his look before the interview. As a result, the audience got to see the 2000 Slam Dunk Contest champion’s live reaction after discovering the 32-year-old star’s braids.

Vince Carter asked Kyle Lowry about Jimmy Butler’s new look during the interview. Lowry couldn’t stop smiling and could barely hide his amusement at the whole situation.

In fact, the 36-year-old guard revealed that he had confronted Jimmy on FaceTime about his new look. “What the f***!“, Lowry had said. “Bruh, come on.”

However, the six-time All-Star knows Jimmy Butler well. “If anyone in the world know Jimmy, Jimmy gonna do whatever the f*** Jimmy wants to do“, Lowry explained.

Kyle Lowry joined the Miami Heat in 2021 through a sign-and-trade deal. However, his relationship with Butler goes far beyond that of a teammate. In fact, the 2019 NBA champion is the godfather of Butler’s daughter.

Meanwhile, Vince Carter’s reaction to Jimmy Butler’s look is nothing short of hilarious. As it turns out, the eight-time All-Star hadn’t seen the Miami forward’s new look and saw it in real time live on air. In other words, Butler’s locks astonished Carter so much that he was left gasping with his mouth wide open in surprise.

The Miami Heat has displayed consistency in the past few seasons. Jimmy Butler led the team to the NBA Finals in 2020.
