California, also known as the Golden State, is one of the most famous commercial states in America. Considering the revenue-pumping performed by the state, there is no wonder why the tax rates are exorbitantly high for the citizens. An analyst from Twitter recently revealed the hefty amount of taxes the Warriors star has paid over the years.?
Signing the first-ever super-max contract in the NBA, fans believed Stephen Curry had won the bag. After winning his fourth ring with the Warriors, his extension of $215 million for four years in 2022 made many other stars envy him. However, few knew about the tax contributions made by the 6’3 guard.?
Curry could have escaped taxes if he had decided to join teams like the Miami Heat, the Dallas Mavericks, or the Memphis Grizzlies. Florida, Texas and Tennessee are among the few states in America that have 0% tax rates. Furthermore, the Warriors star, who is set to sign a bulky deal of $1 billion with Under Armour could have benefitted more if he had decided to join any of the above teams. However, that is indeed a long shot.
