An analyst from Twitter recently revealed the hefty amount of taxes the Warriors star has paid over the years.?

Signing the first-ever super-max contract in the NBA, fans believed Stephen Curry had won the bag. After winning his fourth ring with the Warriors, his extension of $215 million for four years in 2022 made many other stars envy him. However, few knew about the tax contributions made by the 6’3 guard.?

Curry could have escaped taxes if he had decided to join teams like the Miami Heat, the Dallas Mavericks, or the Memphis Grizzlies. Florida, Texas and Tennessee are among the few states in America that have 0% tax rates. Furthermore, the Warriors star, who is set to sign a bulky deal of $1 billion with Under Armour could have benefitted more if he had decided to join any of the above teams. However, that is indeed a long shot.

A tweet from popular sports entrepreneur Andrew Petcash recently revealed that Curry paid $6.3 million from his income as tax for the year 2022-23 alone. Moreover, the Warriors star has paid $40.2 million in taxes in his 14-year tenure with the Warriors.
