The Los Angeles Lakers are done for the season. The abysmal season for them has come to an end. With just 3 games left, they are practically out of the play-in contention. With the loss against the Suns with LeBron James on the sidelines, and Spurs beating the Nuggets, the Lakers have no chance of finishing higher than 11th seed.
The Suns and Devin Booker blew out LeBron James-less Lakers. Devin Booker scored 32 points while Chris Paul showed his class in 12 assists as they worked out a rather easy victory. The Lakers went down 110-121 on Tuesday night.

For the Lakers, Russell Westbrook scored 28 with AD scoring 21. But it was in vain as the Suns were just the better team. The San Antonio Spurs beat the Denver Nuggets 116-97. This guaranteed a spot for the Spurs in the play-in and confirmed that the Lakers will fall short of the 10th seed.

The Los Angeles fans have seen their team at their lowest this season. The fans went berserk on Twitter. Now they can not qualify for the play-in tournament and this might just be one of the worst seasons in their history.
Only Lakers I want back next season:
LeBron James
Anthony Davis
Malik Monk
Austin Reaves
Stanley JohnsonBlow this team up. Hopefully there is a front office change as well. What a horrific and embarrassing season. Everyone is to blame. Most disappointing Laker season ever.

Honestly, just sad… not the Lakers I grew up with… and, no one thing or person is responsible… combination of unfortunate circumstances and poor decision-making/strategy all around…

This really sums up the utterly disappointing season. It was the repeated story of the season with a lack of defensive inputs and lackluster gameplay. With LeBron injured, the Lakers did not look dangerous at all against the Suns. Even with LeBron, they have failed to take advantage of his good performances.
The franchise with the most NBA championships has fallen down and hit themselves hard. The season has been slipping away from them for a long time. They were stuck on the 9th seed with hopes of doing better. However, nothing substantial took shape.

Even with LeBron James averaging 30.3 points per game, he had no support from the rest of the team. It is not an overstatement in any way to say that the Lakers have failed miserably.
