Charles Barkley has been one of the funniest NBA players ever and it is not without reason. Whichever show it is, he makes sure to make the audience laugh with his jokes and quick wit. It was no different when he made an appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman in 2010. The videotape was posted by a fan account on YouTube. Letterman welcomed Barkley to the show and said he looks better. The 11-time NBA All-Star admitted that he gained 100 pounds after his retirement and revealed he had lost 50 at the time.
Then the host asked how Barkley put on so much weight in the first place. Barkley jokingly said he gained weight because of eating. Letterman and the fans were in splits hearing this. The host then talked about a person in the crew who weighed 360 pounds and lost around 103 pounds with a peculiar diet of drinking only wheatgrass juice. A puzzled Barkley replied, “He don’t eat anything but wheatgrass? What a damn fool.”?And the studio was again filled with laughter.
