The Los Angeles Lakers playoff hopes hang in the balance as they try their best to win games. Though the Lakers have won four out of their last five games, their 38-38 season record still puts them in the eighth position in the Western Conference. So, to make it to the playoffs, the Lakers cannot afford to give up any games. However, an update on LeBron James has left fans divided on social media.
LeBron James sustained a major foot injury that kept him out of the Lakers? lineup for a complete month. Though James has now returned to the team, the Lakers ended up splitting two games instead of winning both.

An update given by ESPN?s Brian Windhorst has drawn a lot of attention. Windhorst said, “Durant, LeBron, Curry, and the rest of those Warriors. They smell weakness in the Western Conference.”?
?Don?t confuse all of this stuff together for strength. It is a weak conference. If we get to May and Jokic and the Nuggets and Ja and the Grizzlies are standing there in the Conference Finals. They can give the middle finger to all those teams that felt that way,? added Windhorst.

Both LeBron James and Kevin Durant of the Phoenix Suns have been coming off of injuries. And the only reason they are doing so is to help their team make one final push for the upcoming playoffs. But Windhorst?s comments regarding a weak Western Conference may not sit well with fans.
Currently, the Denver Nuggets have the number one position locked in the West. Followed by the Memphis Grizzlies in second place. And then we have the Sacramento Kings in the third spot.
While these teams have performed well all season, they do not possess championship experience at all. However, there is a first time for everything.
