NBA legend Shaquille O?Neal has had feuds with some of his teammates during his long and illustrious career. His beef with fellow NBA legend Kobe Bryant went on for years. However, he believes their issues did not hurt their chances on the hardwood. Notably, the Los Angeles Lakers won three straight championships despite Kobe and Shaq’s well-known issues. The four-time NBA champion recently suggested that there might be internal issues among the Phoenix Suns players and talked about it during his podcast.

Turner’s comment shocked Shaquille O?Neal

In the latest episode of the Big Podcast with Shaq, the crew discussed a variety of interesting things that happened recently including the wild NBA trades. Co-hosts Shaquille O’Neal and Nischelle Turner welcomed media personality Josiah Johnson who filled in for NFL veteran Spice Adams for the episode. While talking about Kevin Durant moving to the Phoenix Suns, O?Neal and Turner talked about issues within the team. The 2000 NBA MVP stated that he would not take his issues with his teammates to the basketball court. He said that the game is bigger than egos. Turner then brought up the Brooklyn Nets going up against the Phoenix Suns and called it the “Kendall Jenner Bowl”.

She talked about the beef between Ben Simmons and Devin Booker because they both dated Kendall Jenner. Shaq was shocked at Turner’s statement and said he would have never said something like that. However, he then tried to make Turner say it again. O’Neal asked, “What does that mean?” Turner replied that they both dated Kendall. Shaq then asked, “We’re doing what to Kendall Jenner?”

The Emmy award winner understood what Shaq was trying to do and stopped answering. She said she is looking to not get caught with what she says by the remix guy.

The Suns came out on top against the Nets winning the game 116-122 away from home. Booker had a decent comeback game with 19 points, 4 rebounds, and 6 assists. On the other hand, Simmons’ poor form continued with just 2 points, 4 rebounds, and 6 assists in 27 minutes.

The Phoenix Suns’ internal issues

During the podcast, Shaquille O’Neal said that the Phoenix Suns are playing like “they’re fighting over a girl”. He noted that he keeps hearing about DeAndre Ayton but he was not sure. Nischelle Turner then stated that she has been hearing some rumbles about Chris Paul falling out of favor. However, she noted it was not just Paul or Ayton, and there are multiple issues inside the organization.

Despite the issues, the Suns are #5 in the Western Conference standings with a 31-27 record. With the addition of superstar Kevin Durant, the Suns’ fans would be hoping they finish the regular season strong.
