The negative commentary about the Brooklyn Nets at the start of the regular season seems to be a thing of the past. The Nets have regrouped and rebuilt and the results are bearing fruit. With Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving being at the top of their leagues, the Nets have become credible threats to other teams, consolidating a second position in the Eastern Conference.
Notably, the fine tunning between KD and Irving has been a thing of beauty for the Nets fans this season. And an unearthed video of the team going over the game plan has only made things clearer for the NBA world. A fan wrote, “We run the damn league“. The Nets are here to stay.

In the video, the Nets boss, Jacque Vaughn, sketched out the game plan on a whiteboard. He is seen instructing the next steps to the team. Vaughn was pushing for no timeouts as the team rallied. Kevin Durant quickly jumped in and recommended Irving pull off the play. “You should run that for [Irving],” he said.
What happened next was an energetic Kyrie Irving taking charge of the ball and aiming for the basket. The ball lands. Both of them were unstoppable during their game against the Toronto Raptors. The video grabbed eyeballs as NBA Twitter went on to praise the team.

In the end, the Brooklyn Nets won 119-116 at the Scotiabank Arena. Durant scored 28 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists. On the other hand, Irving also scored 32 points, 3 rebounds, and 5 assists.
With Vaughn’s arrival as a coach, the Nets truly have seen an enormous difference within the team. The Nets have appeared to be more cohesive and coordinated. This could be a reflection of their head coach’s approach.

Mike Budenholzer, the current coach of the Milwaukee Bucks, who knew Jacque Vaughn as a player, said that he brings the same devotion to detail as a coach. Budenholzer said, “As a player, his work ethic and his attention to detail were just off the charts. He?s about as sharp as anybody I?ve ever been around as a player, and his thirst for game plans and little moments where he can make a difference and impact winning. It was high-level. And as a coach, it?s kind of the same thing.”
Even Kyrie Irving credited the Nets’ coach for keeping the team accountable. Considering he was supposed to be an interim coach, he has done a commendable job of enabling the team further.
