On Monday night, the New Orleans Pelicans lost to the Philadelphia 76ers 120-111. However, with recent updates, the Pelicans may have lost something more significant. During the game, the 2021 NBA All-Star Zion Williamson was forced to exit early due to an injury. He played for 28 minutes, garnering 26 points, 6 rebounds, and 7 assists. But his exit may have foreshadowed a longer one.
The Pelicans announced that they would be playing without their superstar Zion Williamson, for at least 3 weeks, owing to a right hamstring strain. The NBA world is in shambles. A fan wrote, “We literally cannot catch a break. This is just absurd“.

Zion's short Pro career has been filled with injuries.
He's definitely gifted in talent and athleticism but I do ask myself, is his large frame going to always hold him back.

In an interview, the Pelican star said that the narrative around him affected him a lot. Many people trolled him for his weight, and his injury-prone history became fodder online.
Zion Williamson said the commentary was “nasty” as he went on to state how a lower-body injury “dictates” every other activity. He added, “For the world to critique me like that and all I was trying to do was make sure my foot was straight? It was a lot. I’m not going to lie to you ? It was a lot.”
