NFL legend and the infamous host of ‘Inside the NBA’ Shannon Sharpe is currently the talk of the town after his fight with the players during the game between Memphis Grizzlies and Los Angeles Lakers. Although things seem to have settled down, players and hosts continue to share their views and take on the altercation. One among them is another infamous host of the ‘NBA on TNT’ and former Phoenix Suns star Charles Barkley, who weighed in on the feud.

Though the majority of the sports fans believe what Sharpe did was right, Charles Barkley does not seem to be a fan of Sharpe’s trash talk to the Memphis Grizzlies players at all. In fact, the Broncos legend himself had made a contradicting statement a year ago on the same show.

Charles Barkley did not like the fact that Shannon Sharpe trash-talked players

Shannon Sharpe gave a tough time to both Dillion Brooks and Ja Morant’s father. The former NFL star told Brooks, “You are too small to guard LeBron” to which the Memphis guard replied, “F*** you’. Things escalated from there on as Sharpe started to trash-talk the entire team of Grizzlies after the half-time buzzer. In a YouTube video, Kee Morant, father of Ja Morant, had some words for Sharpe as a fight broke out between the two. However, both of them dapped up after a while in the same game.?

In a recent tweet by the official NBA radio channel, ‘SiriusXM NBA Radio’, Charles Barkley shared his view on the fight. Barkley said, “Reporters can never get into it with players. That’s my rule, coz you know we get paid to talk about these guys”.?

He added, “If you hate guys or don’t get along with guys, you gotta be somewhat biased, whether you believe it or not. You got to be really careful because people believe everything we say, unfortunately. As a guy on television, I can never get into a fight with players”.

A year ago on the ‘Inside the NBA’, Shannon Sharpe told, “You think because you pay an exorbitant amount of money, and the athletes are there to entertain you, you can say, you can do whatever. It is well within my right because I pay 5000 or an exorbitant amount for this ticket! You cannot, You should not.???
