There are only a handful of players in the hoops world, like the NBA legend and Hall of Famer?Charles Barkley. The former?Philadelphia 76ers?player has a refreshingly honest personality. In addition to that, he is bold enough to speak his mind. Recently, the 11x All-Star made a remark about the organization he has been associated with for over 10 years.
Barkley has been associated with the primary cable television channel, ‘TNT’ for more than 10 years now. In 2022, the 11x All-Star signed a 10-year deal worth $317 million.

Charles Barkley ‘shot himself in the foot’ with his remark
Barkley recently appeared?on ABC’s late-night talk show, ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live.’?During the interview, Jimmy Kimmel notified the audience that Barkley was heading to Salt Lake City this weekend to cover the All-Star weekend for ‘TNT.’ Subsequently, Kimmel asked him whether it was a fun event for him. In reply, the 11x All-Star said,?“I wouldn’t say fun. It’s amazing and everything but it’s a lot of work.”We don’t normally work four days in a row. We normally work one day in a row.”

The former Sixers player might have made a live crowd laugh, but he did?‘shoot himself in the foot’?by saying he has to work a lot while covering for ‘TNT.’ Chuck was seemingly not pleased with the hectic schedule for broadcasters and found the experience to?‘not be fun.’

Barkley earns the big bucks on live TV
Barkley played 16 seasons for three franchises. The Philadelphia 76ers, Phoenix Suns, and Houston Rockets, respectively. In his 16-year-old NBA career, the now 59-year-old pocketed $40.6 million from the teams above. However, since the former Sixers player started doing analysis on ‘TNT,’ he has bagged a lot more money than he ever earned in the league. Before his new contract signing in 2022, Chuckstar reportedly earned $10 million per year from ‘TNT.’
