What it’s like being a part of the Los Angeles Lakers

The Lakers haven’t had the most ideal start to their 2021-22 NBA season. Apart from their preseason being a total bust, they’re nowhere at the top of the Western Conference, contrary to what was expected of them. Nevertheless, if there is one player in their roster who hasn’t been disappointing at all, it’s Carmelo Anthony.

Fitting in such a star-studded roster is probably not a piece of cake. So, after their recent win against the Houston Rockets, Melo commented on what it’s like being a Laker. “It was all about me being able to adapt. New environment, new situation, new players. What makes it easier for myself is that fact that I have the minds that I have on the team. The fact that we can be honest with one another…” Melo stated.

He emphasized the fact that the team is very honest with one another. He continued, “We can hold each other accountable; they can hold me accountable, I can hold them accountable. People take that for granted when you are on a team and you’re trying to win, and you have goals..”

Carmelo Anthony has been an enormous boost off the bench

The Lakers just grabbed their second straight win against the Houston Rockets with a 95-85 score. Apart from their incredible defense and starting Anthony Davis as a center, it was Melo from the arc that made a big difference.

He contributed 23 points, 5 of 8 came from the perimeter. And while we all thought LeBron James‘ chemistry with AD is unparalleled, Melo and Bron are also quite the duos. He has become a consistent three-point shooter for the team, along with winning fans’ hearts. “For me, again, I’m going to always go back to being able to adapt into whatever situation that I’m put in,” he concluded.
