The Brooklyn Nets vs Washington Wizards show began with disappointment as James Harden did not show up. It would have been the first time The Beard and Wizards’ Russell Westbrook would have gone up against each other after their trade. However, the heated game ensured a treat to the viewers.
The Brooklyn Nets took a double-figure lead in Q1, but the Wizards inched closer with every passing quarter. Russell Westbrook impressed everyone with his all-round performance that stunned the elite members of the so-called Big Three, and the Wizards took a clutch victory that nobody predicted.

When Russell Westbrook denied Kevin Durant a shot
It was during the end of Q2 when an agile Russ surprised KD with a great defensive move. It was after an alley-oop conversion by DeAndre Jordan that Kevin Durant brought the inside the mid-range and flexed for a jump shot. That’s when Russ came flying in from behind KD and stole the ball.
However, that marvelous effort could not attain its intention since the ball got turnover after Russ lost his balance and failed to retrieve it.

Well, the Wizards had many more rights than wrongs. Firstly, Russell Westbrook improved his first-half heroics to score 22 points in the second half. Then, it was Bradley Beal’s clutch performance that helped them tame the dragons. Beal added 26 points after halftime and a three-pointer from him with just 8 seconds left put the Wizards in a great situation.

The bench players like Ish Smith, who finally joined the team, also proved efficient as three rotation players scored in double figures. For the Nets, a great effort from Joe Harris’ 30 points and KD’s 37 went in vain.
Luwawu-Cabarrot missed a layup with under a second remaining, and Jeff Green’s foul took every chance away from the Nets who must regret this loss. But on the bright side, Scott Brooks’ Wizards are back with a bang, and this can prove to be a turnaround in their tale.
