While losing 102-93 to the Philadelphia 76ers, Jordan Poole scored 23 points, grabbed three rebounds, assisted twice, and stole one. As the match progressed, there was an instance that brought back memories of Klay Thompson’s injury.
This was a familiar situation from previous years in which Green fouled Thompson on a breakaway dunk. Thompson sustained a torn ACL as a result. Although it wasn’t intentional, Warriors fans didn’t forget it as again, the same incident caused a flashback. As he stated in the past, he explained:
“[Warriors players] were like, ‘We know you’re not dirty,’” Green told reporters afterward. “Draymond [Green], Iggy [Andre Iguodala], they were like, ‘Yeah, you went up for the ball. He just came down funny. It’s not your fault. Don’t even worry about it,’” Green recalled.

Golden State Warriors were in a tough spot against the Philadelphia 76ers
In the second quarter, Poole was about to make a breakaway dunk when he collided with Green. Since everyone panicked after that, Green was called for a foul. But it did make many players afraid when Poole fell to the ground while Green was saving from getting the basket. After the incident, Green asked Poole if he was alright. After that, the Warriors were back on track with their game.
For sure back-to-back incidents like this don’t please the audience. Moreover, The Philadelphia 76ers were ready to challenge the warriors, and Pool ended the game with a score of 23 points. He has averaged 18.2 points and 45.0 percent shooting in most of his games.

While Stephen Curry was trying to break Allen’s record of all-time three-pointers, the Philadelphia 76ers were fully committed to making it tough for them as their main goal was to guard Curry. However, this incident might get overlooked due to the 76ers’ rush.
