The 2020-21 NBA came to its inevitable a while back, the Tokyo Olympics are behind us too and even Free agency will wind up in now time. However, basketball fans are always taken care of and never left to just wait for the action, so the Summer League is now in full force. This gives everyone the perfect dive into what the new draft prospects in their favorite team look like. With their debut games already done and dusted, a must-watch matchup is underway. One of the No. 1 overall pick and the No. 2 overall pick in this year’s NBA Draft. However, Cade Cunningham seems to be overpowering Jalen Green, just a smidgen.

Cade Cunningham displays dominance over Jalen Green

In almost every draft class, there are two players at least, who are constantly compared to one another. Something similar happened to that of Cade Cunningham and Jalen Green. Even before entering the NBA, they were pitted against each other to get drafted as the No. 1 pick. While Cade always seemed like the Detroit Pistons‘ obvious choice, Green was always in the mix until it became official.

However, Cade landed up exactly where it was predicted, at No. 1 and Green ended up with the Houston Rockets. But till then, the damage was done. As if, they were destined to draw comparisons to each other from now on. And with their second game in the Summer League, it hasn’t stopped either.

The Detroit Pistons and Houston Rockets are playing against each other on the second day of the League. But of course, all eyes were on Cade and Green trying to one-up each other. With the Rockets leading by 64-54, well into the third quarter, the Piston’s new addition seems to be outshining Green. Even though Green has more points than him, Cade was caught showing off some skills in front of his new rival.

How did they do in their debut?

Even though Cade’s looking great in this game, his debut loss against Oklahoma City Thunder wasn’t up to the mark. He was only able to add a meagre 12 points to the scoreboard, but Jalen Green’s debut was the polar opposite.

In fact, he ended up finishing the night with 23 points, 5 rebounds and going 44.4% from downtime, while also being the lead scorer for the Rockets. The game ended with the Cleveland Cavaliers on the losing end of the spectrum, and Green leaving his first impressive impact.

No matter how the Rockets vs Pistons game ends, these two young stars have still a lot of proving to do. But their comparisons won’t stop anytime soon either, and every step they make is going to be deeply analyzed.
