The Golden State Warriors were looking to get right back on track after they lost their last game to the Indiana Pacers on their home court. The Warriors traveled to Salt Lake City to go up against the Utah Jazz before returning back home for a game against the Boston Celtics. They looked to take down Utah, a team that is only one place above them in the Western Conference table.?

The Warriors had two of their most important players and three of their starters out of the rotation for the game against the Jazz. Notably, Stephen Curry was ruled out due to soreness in his left ankle.?

Draymond Green was ruled out because of left hip tightness and?Andrew Wiggins did not suit up for the game due to an injury to the groin. So, all the offensive load came down to Klay Thompson and Jordan Poole.
But the game between the two teams ended up getting quite heated as officials had to step in. During the final minute of the fourth quarter, Jordan Clarkson and Jonathan Kuminga got into a scuffle. Players from both teams had to quickly step in and separate the two before things got any more ugly.

Clarkson was absolutely livid after the play. He kept going toward Kuminga as he was held by his Warriors teammate, likely keeping him away from a technical foul.

One good thing for the Warriors on the night was that Klay Thompson was healthy and ready to play. But as good as Thompson is, he wasn’t enough in the end for the Warriors to take down the Utah Jazz. And that is where the team’s sixth man, Jordan Poole came in.?

No doubt, Poole has been on a tear since the start of this season. He has been scoring in bunches coming off the bench this season. Though he has arguably been a little inconsistent, Poole’s offensive output has still kept the Golden State Warriors afloat. Especially when the team’s starters take some time off on the bench.?

And this game was nothing less than Poole’s usual performance. Despite the absence of Stephen Curry and Draymond Green, Poole led the team in points as the Warriors continued to battle the Jazz.?

However, their efforts were in vain as the Utah Jazz eeked out a victory in the final seconds of the game, ending the night with a 124-123 win over the Warriors.?Stephen Curry and co. are now 10th in the Western Conference standings with a 13-13 record for the season.
