Klay Thompson was making it rain from anywhere. He had hit multiple threes that were contested by more than one defender. With under a minute to go in the third quarter, Thompson had Gobert on him after a switch. Klay tried driving to the basket, but Rudy had the rim protected pretty well. Thompson gave it back to Payton and then ran outside to his spot to shoot a three. Gobert had recovered quickly, but Thompson got the shot off which was nothing but net.

It was a ridiculous shot by Klay. Rudy had recovered back on defense pretty well, and it was the best he could do. Though Thompson’s quick-release beat his defense. It was a great contest by Gobert, but better offense by Thompson. Right before the ball went in, Stephen Curry knew it was going in. As he then stood up to mock Rudy who stamped his foot just when the shot went in.
