The 6x NBA champion dominated the 90s in the NBA with Chicago Bulls. His influence and an otherworldly showcase of skills unlocked countless possibilities for the game of basketball. With his determination to become great, Jordan elevated the game, inspiring millions in the process. He did all that, standing at just 6’6, which is not the ‘best’ height you can have in the NBA. However, when we compare the height of His Airness to his family members, they’re not even close. In fact, Jordan had a cheeky response when he was asked about the height of his family members by David Letterman.
During his early days in the NBA, Jordan made an appearance on the Late Night with David Letterman show. On the show, the legendary host asked Jordan if he is the tallest in the family. Jordan replied, “I’m the tallest. My father’s about 5’10, my mother is about 5’5. Everyone else is about 5’6 1/2, 5’7.” The Bulls superstar didn’t stop there with the family details. He added a humorous layer to the answer by bringing in the milkman. With a big grin on his face, Jordan said “The milkman is about 6’7,” and he burst out laughing along with Letterman and the show’s audience.
