There have been some bad moments in the season so far. From bad calls to some gruesome injuries, this NBA season has seen a lot. However, in the recent game between Philadelphia 76ers and Utah Jazz, young Tyrese Maxey took a bad fall. He stayed down for a long time and had everyone worried.
The 76ers were probably the most drama-filled team in the entire season. One might remember the entire Ben Simmons saga, which is still unsolved. Moreover, his absence meant they needed to find another player suitable to exchange his skill set.
While they didn’t find a defensive guard like him, Maxey has certainly provided the offensive help to make up for his loss.

Maxey takes a nasty hit in the 76ers-Jazz game
As Philadelphia trailed in the second quarter, Maxey took the ball in an attempt to score. While he went up in the air, Whiteside challenged him. Maxey took the contact and managed to score.
However, he couldn’t find his footing and went down hard. As he went down, he hit his head on the floor and stayed down. Maxey did not get up until the 76ers got the ball back for another offensive possession.
The loss of Simmons has already hurt Philadelphia in many ways. Now, if they lose Maxey, their offense will suffer a huge loss. The youngster has been impressive, especially during the time Joel Embiid went down.
Maxey showed he can step up and has quickly upgraded to a reliable scorer on this team. He could enter concussion protocol later as he crashed his head right into the floor.
However, even his inclusion isn’t enough for the 76ers to take care of Utah. Last season’s number 1 seed team is showing just why they are such a feared team. Going for a 6th consecutive win, the Jazz is dominating the Sixers at home. Having a convincing lead as the game comes to a close, Donovan Mitchell has led the way with 22 points so far to go with 6 assists. Center Rudy Gobert also came in with a double double.
