The Memphis Grizzlies bounced back with a resounding win over the New York Knicks on the road. The Grizzlies had an evenly spread offense which helped to take down the underwhelming Knicks. However, the affair got heated towards the end of the game as Julius Randle almost caused a fight.
Randle and Desmond Bane had a shoving match before they were separated off. However, Randle got ejected a few minutes later as he picked up his sixth foul.
The Knicks have not been able to live up to their performances from last season. While they have had other players emerge, their cornerstone has fallen short this season. Last season’s All-Star Julius Randle hasn’t been able to pick things up this season as his averages have gone down. And it seems tonight, the frustrations got to him.

Julius Randle and Bane nearly fight as Knicks lose
With the game cut close in the final quarter, both teams were heading into the timeouts. However, things got a little chippy when Bane and Randle clashed with each other. Randle shoved him off, and the two started talking before they went their separate ways. Randle was in bad luck as the Knicks star was ejected a few minutes later.
It has been that kind of season for Julius Randle so far. Coming in from the previous season. Randle played a major part in the Knicks playoff berth last season. However, this season he hasn’t been able to deliver on the same cylinder as he is putting up 18.5 points, which is his lowest in the past four seasons. His shooting averages have also dropped and the Knicks have felt the effect of it.

Evan Fournier was the star of the night as he led all the scorers with 30 points. RJ Barrett added 23 points, 4 rebounds and 1 assist for the night. Julius Randle put up 18 points, 12 rebounds, and 9 assists before fouling out. This was the Knicks’ 28th defeat of the season and 4th in the last five games. They currently sit as the 12th seed in the Eastern Conference.
First time All-Star Ja Morant had a rough shooting night as he ended the game with 23 points,4 rebounds, 9 assists and 3 steals on 9-27 shooting. Jaren Jackson Jr. led the Grizzlies with 26 points, 10 rebounds, and 2 blocks. Desmond Ziaire Williams had an efficient night putting up 21 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists on 81% shooting. The Grizzlies continue their impressive run this season and improve to 36-18.
