Michael Jordan and Magic Johnson are probably the biggest names in the game. Jordan is considered the greatest NBA player of all time while Johnson is touted to be the greatest point guard of all time. Both of them left indelible marks during their time in the league. Hence, it was no surprise that both James Harden and Stephen Curry were admiring these legends during the 75th-anniversary celebrations. Harden and Curry are among the biggest NBA stars in the world, but they melted in the presence of Magic and Michael.

Jordan and Johnson changed the game for good. Without them, Curry and Harden probably wouldn’t have become the stars that they are today. Magic Johnson was the biggest NBA star of the 80s and the league exploded in popularity. The Showtime Lakers are still one of the biggest dynasties in sports history.
Magic Johnson was the face of the “Showtime” Lakers in the 80s
They won five championships with Magic Johnson and Kareem Abdul Jabbar. Magic’s passing was something to watch. His no-look pass was a thing of beauty. Johnson knew how to progress the ball during the fast break. He could give pinpoint alley-oops from half court.
He also has the most assists in a single playoff game at 24 and has also given 21 assists in an NBA Final game, which is another record.
He was the face of the Lakers and won five titles with them. The point guard is a 3-time regular season MVP and a 3-time Finals MVP. His accolades are endless. Johnson is an inspiration to all due to his fight against HIV. He still spreads awareness about the disease.
Michael Jordan, the greatest ever?
Very few NBA fans will argue if Michael Jordan is called the greatest basketball player of all time. “His Airness’ had dazzled the NBA and the world with his performances. He has won six NBA titles and six Finals MVPs. Jordan was an accurate scorer with his fadeaways and mind-blowing dunks. He was also a great player at defense and set both season and career records for blocked shots as a guard.

His work ethic was off-putting but effective, as he won innumerable accolades in his career. Without him, there wouldn’t have been any Bulls dynasty to speak of. They won two three-peats with Jordan at the helm.
