Luka Doncic is an extremely important player for the Dallas Mavericks, especially at this stage of the tournament. Each new game takes the competition to another level, increasing the rush and competitiveness between players.
During the recent match, the same was evident as a series of incidents resulted in a serious foul. Luka’s match against the Phoenix Suns on Monday night in Game 1 wasn’t great enough to count. Suns veteran Jae Crowder tried to make a three-pointer with nine minutes left to go in the second quarter.

Even though he didn’t make the three-pointer as Mavs superstar came charging for him, Crowder then passed the ball to another player and he ended up making another shot, which resulted in Luka playing with discomfort the whole game. Notably, he was given a flagrant 1 for this groin hit on Luka.
This was quite a hard view for Mavs fans. The situation was clearly understandable as Luka remained on the floor for a few minutes before walking away, wincing in pain. It might be the start of things to come since the series is going to be tough regardless, as the championship gets fierce.
Recent fouls have become a trend as Golden State Warriors player Draymond Green also makes headlines for this specific issue.

The match went in the Suns favor, as they defeated the Mavs. As a result of a 121-114 win against Dallas, they advanced to the Western Conference semifinals. Although Crowder was not ejected from the match because of the foul, Green mentioned on social media how unfair it was that he was ejected, and Crowder wasn’t.
Both fouls are quite different from one another if we compare them. Not only that, but Green has been in the news for this specific incident for years in the league. In the case of Crowder, he got the results of his act. But based on the way players are playing, it seems like there will be more instances like this in the future.
