With a 13-12 record, the Dallas Mavericks are in seventh place in the Western Conference. The team was on a three-game winning streak as they went up against the second-best team in the Eastern Conference, the Milwaukee Bucks. As the Mavericks tried to take down the Bucks, Dallas superstar Luka Doncic left no stone unturned as his plays had the whole arena, teammates, and even the owner hyped.

The last time these two teams met, the Milwaukee Bucks ended up coming out on top 124-115. So, it is fair to say that the Mavericks would have liked to even their record against the Bucks to 1-1 as Milwaukee seems to be on a roll of their own.
Luka Doncic had everyone hyped
But it seems as if the Mavericks team leader Luka Doncic wanted to keep the team?s winning record going as he threw down a monster slam on Bucks point guard Jrue Holiday. And as soon as he did, the whole arena erupted.
Even the Mavericks bench went nuts over the rare Luka Doncic dunk. Luka isn?t the most athletically gifted player in the league. However, he makes up for it through his nifty play on the court with step-back jumpers and drives to the rim.
So, this rare dunk by Doncic not only had his teammates hyped but even the team?s owner, Mark Cuban getting off his seat and celebrating with the team. It was obvious that even Luka was fired up after his jam.

Unfortunately, that wasn?t enough for the Mavericks to surpass the Bucks as they lost a close game, 105-106 in the final seconds of the fourth quarter. Luka led the team in scoring with a 33-point performance.?

Doncic could not help the team to their fourth straight win
But he barely had any help from his teammates as only two more players apart from Doncic managed to score double-digit points. Milwaukee on the other hand was led by a double-double from Giannis Antetokounmpo with 28 points and 10 rebounds.

Though it was a closely fought game, the Bucks had a better team performance as compared to the Mavericks. Four Bucks players were in double-digits apart from Antetokounmpo, three of which were the team?s starters.
Alas, the Dallas Mavericks could not push their three-game winning streak to four. And after this win, the Milwaukee Bucks have now won four games in a row. The Mavericks’ front office really needs to put some talent around Doncic if they hope to contend for a title this offseason.
