The Los Angeles Lakers are coming in with a hot streak of wins. They are facing the Dallas Mavericks on the road and look for a third straight win. However, there may be a hiccup in the way as LeBron James suffered a hit on the ankle. The ‘King’ has been on fire since his return and this injury could potentially slow him down.
The Lakers have been great in their last two games. Led by James, they won both of them. Coming into this one, they also have Anthony Davis making his return. For the Mavericks, they are still waiting for Luka Doncic to heal up and get back. However, they are currently getting the better of the Lakers.
This may be due to an injury that James suffered while trying to attack the rim.

LeBron James suffers with a bad ankle injury
Injuries have affected this season for the ‘King’. James has missed over half the season because of various injuries so far. However, those haven’t caused him to slow down.
Now, in attempts to drive to the rim, he hurt his ankle on impact after performing a spin move. It doesn’t seem to be serious as James has managed to return to the game.

The Lakers started the game off in a dominating fashion. Putting the Mavericks to a 10 point deficit after the opening quarter, they came in with a clear mindset. However, the second quarter was the total opposite for the Lakers who are now down by 3 points after the half.
Unsurprisingly, LeBron James is leading the way with 15 points while shooting 75% from downtown. Russell Westbrook has added 9 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists to the mix as well. A returning Anthony Davis has failed to put his foot on the gas, scoring just 4 points so far.
It seems not having Doncic hasn’t changed the fight in this Dallas team. Porzingis is stepping up once again with 14 points and 5 rebounds. However, Jalen Brunson is leading the way with 15 points and 3 assists. This injury to James could play out in a bad way as the game progresses. There is a chance he doesn’t deliver to his best and the Lakers will need another star to step up.
